Methodology

How a trust score is calculated

This page explains the scoring model. You don't need to read it to use TopBetting — how we verify and the evidence on each operator do the real work. Methodology is here so the score is auditable.

Two numbers, not one

We always show a trust score (how well an operator performed on what we verified) alongside coverage & confidence (how much we've checked and how recent it is). A score without coverage can mislead, so we never show one alone.

Evidence: The score is computed only from verified tests; what those tests are is shown in How we verify. See where →

The six areas and their weight

AreaWeight
Withdrawal & Payments35%
Licensing & Legitimacy20%
KYC & Account Integrity13%
Deposits & Funding12%
Customer Support12%
App & Platform8%

The score is a weighted average across only the verified areas, re-based to 0–100. Untested areas don't lower the score — they lower coverage.

When we publish a score

A score is published only once coverage reaches 25%. Below that, the operator is shown honestly as Under Review or Verification In Progress — never with a number we can't stand behind.

Worked example

Illustrative — not a real operator's score.

Four areas verified (Withdrawal 80 fresh, Licensing 85 fresh, KYC 75 aged, Deposit 90 fresh; Support & App untested) produces:
